Public Corruption

The leader of a prominent private investigation agency was placed under investigation, primarily for acts of active corruption involving public officials.

YL Avocats became involved from the moment of the client’s custody. The law firm appealed the client’s provisional detention to secure his release approximately fifteen days later before the Investigative Chamber. Simultaneously, YL Avocats devised a legal strategy aiming to challenge the legality of the proceedings and the charges themselves. As such, the firm filed a priority question of constitutionality and a motion to nullify the examination.

The examination for public corruption, the most serious offense, was annulled due to a lack of serious and corroborating evidence, even at the investigative stage.
